Their mission is simple - make music and share it. With big beats, gripping lyrics and catchy melodies, WE ARE US is turning heads as they spread their heartfelt alternative/pop. In 2019 they were dubbed “best band in Chattanooga, TN” and then Covid shut down the world. While humanity was locked away, singer/songwriter Darren Johnson, guitarist Travis Avery, drummer Colin James, and bassist Kyle MacKillop continued to practice. They got through the quarantine by playing music together…doing what they love and making sure they would be ready when the world opened again.

In 2021, WE ARE US headlined Nightfall - an annual concert series in Chattanooga, TN and released their first album, A Long Way To Drop early in 2022. In a radio interview, when asked what the goal was, singer/songwriter Darren Johnson said, “we just want to give all of these songs a life”. To kick off 2023, they are doing just that and releasing their new single, Need You To Know which to the pleasure of their fans, will be one of many to come throughout the year.
